Description
Zinc oxide eugenol-based root canal sealer
Sealing material is produced as a kit of powder and liquid.
Paste can be used for filling with gutta-percha points. Eugenol slightly melts the surface of the gutta-percha points and sticks them together, which ensures complete sealing of the canal and protecting it from microorganisms.
The paste remains plastic on the mixing pad within 5-6 hours and hardens in the oral cavity (at 37°C) within 24-48 hours. The material can be easily extracted from the root canal.
INDICATIONS
- Root canal filling in the treatment of pulpitis and all forms of periodontitis, especially in cases of root canal filling with morphological changes
- The material is recommended as a sealer for joint use with gutta-percha
ADVANTAGES
- Significant periapical sensibility reduction (contains dexamethasone — 0.01 %, hydrocortisone acetate — 1.00 %)
- Easily mixed and remains flexible during 5–6 hours
- Strong bactericidal effect due to thymol iodide
- Dense canals and microtubules filling (film thickness 3–5 μm)
- Low solubility (0.15 %) quarantees longtime lifespan of root filling
- Good radiopacity
